Chicken pox normally has blisters:

Could those be mosquito bites?

By Dawnk777 on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 - 09:35 am:

No, I don't think those look like chicken pox. They are usually a fluid-filled bump that breaks and then crusts over.

I don't really know what ant bites look like. My mosquito bites would be a bit more swollen.

It doesn't look like chicken pox. It looks like bug bites, maybe ants?

By Bobbie~moderatr on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 - 10:30 am:

Could be Chigger bites.. from the grass.. Chiggers bites are often confused with chicken pox... Chiggers are a type of mite, like bed bugs and they are found in the grass..

Chigger bites

By Bobbie~moderatr on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 - 10:35 am:

Chigger bites are common this time of year, by the way and they can be carried by animals.

By Brandy on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 - 10:53 am:

maybe they are chigger bites or ant bites then ? he said they only each every once in awhile...is there anything you can do for chigger bites? except for tylenol and calamine lotion?

By Amecmom on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 - 01:35 pm:

Helen also has something like that. The Doc said it looked like impetego - or some kind of dermatitis. So, he gave us a prescription for Bactroban and said to also use hydrocortisone. Peds are not really great when it comes to skin issues. If it does not clear up soon we'll go right to the derm.
Hope you get an answer.
