Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive August 2007: Oh my gosh- it's August!
Did it sneak up on anyone else? The kids go back to school on the 27th, and so do I! Dh too. Dh is looking for a new job and there are a few things on the horizon, but as of right now I don't know what's going on for sure income wise come September and I hate that. We also have 4 birthdays coming up in the next 2 weeks. I have a feeling August is going to fly past me too and there is still a lot on my summer vacation list! At least nothing too major.
There are SO many birthdays this month! December must be popular.
Urggg...don't remind me. My dks start school in 2-1/2 weeks, and I am not ready. We have had a great summer. I have not heard "I'm bored" once. I guess as my dks get older, and more involved in after school activities, I feel like I never see them when school is going on. I miss them.
We have had a fairly good summer too and I am not ready for them to go back.. This is Dillan's sophomore year.
Emily starts school on September 4th and Sarah starts college on September 5th. Sarah's 18th birthday is on Saturday. It has always seemed that once we hit Sarah's birthday, that the rest of summer flies by!

My kids start school on MONDAY!!! Time really does seem to go faster now, doesn't it? What's up with that??? I hope you get to the rest of you summer vacation list before time slips away from you. 
So, I think I am as sad as they are about school starting.
