One in a million

That new dishwasher I decided to buy because mine was on a recall list was delivered today. And it was a kind of miracle. When I bought it, I arranged for delivery on 7/23 to give my sons the weekend before to uninstall the old one (Sears wanted $150 to uninstall and install the new one). I went in early yesterday and planned to go in early as often as I needed to for the rest of the week, assuming I'd need to be at home for at least 4 hours waiting for the delivery.

So last night I get an automated phone call that I am on the list for delivery between 7:15 and 9:00 a.m. And, lo and behold, the new dishwasher was delivered at 8:00 a.m. !!!

I've never heard of a delivery coming at a time that was actually convenient for the buyer, and then to actually come in the time frame in which they said they would come ... WOW!

We've always had good luck with Sears delivering appliances in a timely and professional matter. When we bought a frig last year they installed the new one and moved our old one downstairs for us. :)

Enjoy your new dishwasher!

You are definitely lucky! We've sat at home waiting all afternoon for a *delivery window* of 12:00 to 5:00, only to have the delivery arrive at almost 7:00 PM. GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

And Cox has really done a few numers on us recently; we had 3 different Saturday appointments in the last couple months, and every one of them has changed the appointment time, 2 of them arriving EARLY!

Our local appliance store is good about narrowing down the time to expect a repair man. It is pretty nice.

I have never had any problems with delivery or repair men. If they are late or if they are early, they always call. But I don't recall that any of them never showed up.

At least something worked out perfect for you that day! Kind of makes the rest of the day go a lot better.

That is great news!!
I remember waiting many a hours for service calls. My favorite is the satellite company. They say between 10am and 5pm. Hmmmm, well, that takes up the whole day. They usually show up about 4 or so, lol.

Enjoy your new dishwasher :)
