One of my doggie customers got bit today by my own dog.....
Apparently it was over food. I was walking my 7 yr old to school. My son was upstairs watching tv with Faith and her the noise. My doggie customer is about 5 medium size, pretty laid back. My daughter had just fed them all..everybody was gated off separately, but "Tulsa' can jump the gates. Its never happened that she has fought with this particular dog.
Well "Sadie" was bleeding, so I cleaned her up with a warm water rag, and I could feel holes. I called up the owner of the dog business and told she needed to take Sadie to the vet.She came and got her, and said she would take her to house first to clean it up better and then take her to the vet.
Well she took her to the vet, and there is 3 holes, I had only saw 2, all in the same area. She needs to stay over night and be stitched up. They can pick her up tomorrow. I am so sick about this. I know its not my fault. I know dogs are just that dogs, and you just never know. But, something so severe has never happened like this. I have been dog sitting for almost 13 yrs.UGH... I feel horrible She told me the vet bill is going to be $600
I do not have to pay for it because she was a dog under the business contract...The owners of Sadie are probably going to hate me. I have been taking care of this dog for years.

Oh, Jackie, they are not going to hate you. They know that you provide a wonderful and loving enviroment for their dog; while they are away.

Dogs are dogs and accidents happen. Keep your chin up and let us know what happens.

{{{HUGS}}} Ditto Annie, They are not going to hate you.Poop happens.....dogs will be dogs,and more so when food is involved.I'm sorry it happened though.
