by Kim Edwards. I started this today and I can not put it down. It's very well written and an intriguing storyline.

By Dawnk777 on Friday, December 29, 2006 - 09:24 pm:

I'm down to #27 at the library! I can't wait. We were at a bookstore and I saw it on the shelf. I'm too cheap to buy it, though.

By Annie2 on Sunday, December 31, 2006 - 07:12 pm:

Dawn, it is a great book. I'll let you know when I am finished and I will send you my copy. The kids being home from school are cutting into my reading time! LOL

By Dawnk777 on Monday, January 1, 2007 - 02:26 am:

You mean the kids expect you to pay attention to them, and not your book? The nerve! (just kidding!) I know what you mean. I'm always the last one to get to a Harry Potter book and it always takes me a LONG time to read one, since I don't have unlimited time to read. It drives the kids nuts!

By Dawnk777 on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 - 11:22 pm:

Annie2, you won't have to send me the book. I get to pick it up from the library tomorrow! That went fast, since the last time I checked, I was still 26 on the queue! Thanks for the thought, though!

By Annie2 on Thursday, January 4, 2007 - 07:01 pm:

Your welcome, Dawn. You have helped me post pics so many times, its the least I can do to send a book to you once in awhile. I tend to keep most of my books but have to start letting them go...:)

By Melanie on Saturday, January 6, 2007 - 11:14 pm:

I read this one last week and loved it! I also had a hard time putting it down...

By Dawnk777 on Sunday, January 7, 2007 - 12:12 am:

Darn it. I forgot to go to the library this morning. Now, I have to wait until Monday.

By Cat on Sunday, January 14, 2007 - 11:16 pm:

I have this on hold at our library. I don't know how long it will take, though. :)

By Debbie on Friday, January 19, 2007 - 01:15 pm:

I got it for Christmas. It is a great book. I read it in just a couple of days.

By Hol on Sunday, January 21, 2007 - 11:24 pm:

I saw it in Sam's Club on Friday for $7.00. I buy books rather than borrow them. That way, if I like it, I have it to read again at a later date. If not, I pass them on friends.

I have the whole "Left Behind" series. I would never part with those.

By Hol on Sunday, January 21, 2007 - 11:25 pm:

Not that "Left Behind" has anything to do with this book. I was just using that as an example.

By Dawnk777 on Friday, March 23, 2007 - 02:39 pm:

I finally got the book and just finished reading it. I was intrigued by the storyline and had trouble putting the book down, too. I just wanted to know how it all ended. It wasn't quite what I had originally expected, though! LOL!

The first time I got the book, I was reading something else, and didn't get to it, in the 14-day time limit, that I had, so I had to return it. Then I put it on hold again and got it last week, or so. This time the timing was better and I was nearly done with Julie and Julia, so I got it read this time. I'm a bit sad that it's over, though.

By Missbookworm on Thursday, April 5, 2007 - 04:39 pm:

It sounds like I'll have to find this book and pick it up!

Annie how do you manage to give up books? I've got over 300 and counting LOL!

By Dawnk777 on Thursday, April 5, 2007 - 04:50 pm:

I'm too cheap to buy the books! I'm good at waiting, until I can get it from the library! I don't have room in my house, for 300 books!

By Annie2 on Saturday, April 7, 2007 - 09:55 am:

I keep most of my books so that I can share the good ones with friends and family. I love passing on a great read to someone. My sister loves to come to my house and "shop" in my bookcase!

By Dawnk777 on Saturday, April 7, 2007 - 01:34 pm:

I got Memoirs of a Geisha, from my sister and the Joy Luck Club, from my mom. I also got Girl with a Pearl Earring from her, too.

By Missbookworm on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 - 08:36 pm:

Well I was going to go and sign up for this at the library since everyone says it's so great and at my partner's house for easter dinner the other day his sister said "I have it and was going to bring it for you" :) I guess I'll have it the next time I see her. I can't wait.

I just make room where I can :) Two tall bookshelves, 5 shelfs on each one. It's to the point that about 4 of one shelf have double rows of books now, can you tell I'm addicted?

That's how I am Annie, I keep them to share and I re read a lot of them too!

By Annie2 on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 - 11:46 pm:

I have never reread a novel. Well, except for a few that I had to read in school and then later on, read them for pleasure.
I read The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand many years ago. I absolutely loved it. If I reread a book that would be the one.

By Missbookworm on Sunday, April 15, 2007 - 02:49 am:

I haven't read the Fountainhead yet! I read Atlas Shrugged and really enjoyed it. I'm dying to read The Fountainhead though! I'll have to pick it up when I can find it so I can read it.
