Cannot believe this is even part of the national discussion right now but its scaring the markets to death. Does anyone see any up sides.

I don't know enough about it yet. However, I am against the government running commercial enterprises, except to institute safegusrds, like FDIC insurance.

Was would it entail?

Hol,

I don't think anyone knows. The lack of boundaries and controls over the past 20 years have created a pretty serious mess. Things like this are what created the mandate for FDIC insurance and many other protections for the "little guy" (many of which have been dismantled and are probably going to be revisited).

Its funny when I posted this the bailout was just beginning and any thought of the government taking over such a critical part of the economy was still kind of unthinkable. Now we've moved on to the government literally propping up the economy in so many areas.

Unsettling and difficult times.

Definitely a time for praying for our leaders to have wisdom because we are in uncharted waters worldwide in terms of the "experts". At least they're humble enough to admit it.
