What is that lump/bump on the presidents back?

Moms View Message Board: The Kitchen Table (Debating Board): What is that lump/bump on the presidents back?
By Mommyathome on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 - 10:46 am:

I haven't had any luck locating a photo of it online.
It's been on the news today and yesterday. They show a square box looking lump on the presidents back.
Anyone know what it is? The news speculates anything from a bullet proof vest (I don't think a bullet proof vest would leave that kind of hump), to an earpiece set.
I keep watching the news to see if they ever say what it actually is.
Edwards said "it's his battery"....

I saw this on Jay Leno last night.
I a going to take the same stand that I did with Kerry. If he was cheating it would have been brought out before this. People were being paid to make sure that the rules were followed & I can not believe he would have cheated. I also think if he did cheat he would have done a little better with that first debate.

I agree with Emily. If he were cheating he would have done better on both the first and second debates.

By Mommyathome on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 - 11:48 am:

Well yes, I'm sure if he were cheating that someone would have caught it by now and it would be a big story.
But, I was just asking *What* is it??

By Annie2 on Wednesday, October 13, 2004 - 06:56 pm:

It's probably a microphone pack. I'm sure kerry has one, too.

I, for one, can not believe someone would think the president of the free world would "cheat" during a national televised debate. How absurd is that?

It's just as ludicrous that someone thought kerry was pulling a "cheat sheet" out of the pocket of his blazer during a debate.

I like to focus on the issues, past record, future plans, integrity, moral values, leadership capabilites of a candidate. I do not get sidetracked by false media reports or speculate what someone else would have done with 20/20 hindsight.

I agree with you 100 percent Annie.

I thought maybe it was a bullet proof vest if it was anything. I don't think he cheated eather
