2009 AAHG! The Organizer- what works?

Moms View Message Board: Get Organized: 2009 AAHG! The Organizer- what works?
By Northcountrymom on Thursday, January 22, 2009 - 09:09 am:

I know you have beautiful Daytimers that you just buy the inserts for each year and Blackberrys/IPhones whose batteries are always charged. I on the otherhand am always looking for the perfect organizer and when I find it they discontinue the inserts the following year.

In all seriousness I have found that becoming a mom changed not only how I kept info but the amount of info kept. Many CEO's and heads of state have less contact info than the average mom (so Barak may have the Blackberry but Michelle's is the organizer I want to see). I always have some kind of ring organizer(there's always something to add and never enough of some letter in the address book or to do lists) with a hourly/date calendar and a monthly overview. Planning sheets etc. always helpful since I'm always planning something. Transferring the info is agony.

This year's planner experiment is the Family Facts Family Life Organizer and Planner (http://store.family-facts.com/servlet/StoreFront). I think she's actully won awards for it. I've already modified it by adding in extra sheets and adding to the calendar.

What are you using or have used that you like?Anything special make it work better? If you use electronics what have you liked best? Do you make your kids use anything (my son's school gives them a planner at the beginning of the school year and sends home a monthly and weekly calendar).

Love to hear your survival schemes.

Linda
