That should not have been a smile after the topic!!! My mess up its been a looooong night!
Alissa has been up since 1 a.m. vomiting:( I feel so bad for her. At least she can use the bucket or the bathroom. But she woke up and we came down to lay on the couch closer to the bathroom and she made a mess on the couch so I have been cleaning and doing pillows and blankets all night.
She insisted she was going to Pre-K as she had her head in the bucket. This is the 1st day of school she has missed this year.
Don't think my boss for the bus is to happy about me taking off work to be home with her but what can you do. Not my problem he doesn't hire any bus aide subs.
Well off to try and get something into her stomach. Maybe some crackers.

I feel for you~ we had it yesterday. There's just nothing like those early morning wake-up calls, is there! As for work, I know, but you HAVE to be with your little girl. Good luck--I hope it's a fast one!

Poor Alissa!!! I know that is miserable. And BTDT on the couch thing! UGH! I wouldn't push getting anything into her stomach too soon. Clear liquids for the first several hours would probably be best, then try saltine crackers and maybe some flat Sprite.

Hope she starts feeling better *really* soon! OH - and try Febreeze on the furniture!

Alissa is still vomiting:( I gave her some flattened 7-up. She probably drank a can in a few hours and lost about 1/2 of it. I feel so bad when they are sick. She is napping now.
I Febreezed the couch this morning and Lysoled a little bit ago. I am the germ buster today:)
I called the doctor and she said its a stomach virus going around that is lasting a good 48 hours.
She said as you did Karen, clear liquids for the first 12 hours then light food for the next day.
She said flattened Ginger-Ale is best for the stomach so I will have to get to the store and get some of that.
Never a dull moment here in PA. And its a beautiful day here, we should be outside!

Awww, poor Alissa. Work will just have to deal with it, you have to be home with her. Sarah was diagnosed with RSV, when she was a baby and I called in sick that night. The supervisor wasn't happy, but I knew that DH can sleep through anything, so if she had trouble during the night, he wouldn't have heard it. I couldn't have worked effectively, with that hanging over my head. In the scheme of things, for the hospital, it was just one night and for my baby, it was just one night, but I had to be there.

We have temps in the 50's, but it's cloudy outside.

We have it today, too! :( DH started in at 5am this morning, poor thing. He's in agony. I hope we don't all get it!

Hope Alissa is feeling better very soon!!

I had it about 2 weeks ago and DD (1 1/2) had it a couple days before me. No fun at all!!:(
Hope she feels better soon.

She is a bit better today. She did eat some oyster crackers yesterday. She hasn't vomited since yesterday afternoon so thats a good thing. Right now she is very upset because her bus just went by and she couldn't go to school. I want to make sure she is all better and eating before she goes back. This is the first 2 days she has missed since school started.
Hope everyone who has this darn bug is feeling better:)
