This may be really dumb and I very much apologize if it is offensive, but...On the thread about my dh being sick, you were commenting about doctors having a G-d complex. Why did you not spell out the whole word?

I'm sitting her trying to think, maybe it is just out of respect. Or one time I remember hearing something at church about how Jews (I think) in biblical times and maybe even today for all I know would not even write the name.

I'm just curious.

It's just something I learned to do many years ago out of respect, since people can be so easily offended. I didn't want to offend anyone. I'm sure though, that I have typed out the word *God* on a post at one time or another when I would normally have not. I have a friend from childhood who becomes VERY upset if I say a doctor has a G-d complex - and she is in the medical profession, but very religious too, so I'm a bit wary of using that particular figure of speech.
