Does anyone have a Dyson?

They are advertised here for $500.00 are they worth it? That's a lot of money for a vaccum.

I have the Dyson purple animal and I LOVE it. We have 3 cats and a dog and I have never had anything that picks up the hair like this thing. I have had it for over a year now and no problems at all and it still works great. With that many pets, I use it daily too! Love the on board attachments too. I would get another in a heart beat if anything ever goes wrong with this one.

They are worth every penny. My dh got me one for my birthday last year, well to be honest he took me to target to pick up something else and I just happend to take it to the register with us, lol. I don't have the animal, I got the red and purple one. I can't think of what it was called but I couldn't see spending the extra hundred on the animal when we didn't have any animals.

My opinion on vaccuum cleaners is if they cost more then installing laminate flooring, I'm going with the new flooring. :)

We spent about $400 on a Simplicity vacuum about six years ago. It's great but with all of the animal hair in this house with dark navy carpeting, I'm purchasing a purple Dyson the very day my vacuum dies. I've heard they are worth every penny! :)

when we bought our house 2 and a half years ago we bought a new animal dyson. i wouldnt trade it for nothing. it is the best and i have had cheap and super expensive ones that claimed to keep allergies to a minnimum. the dyson is amazing to me. it takes a beating and keeps working.we have two dogs and they shed bad. LABS are known for it. anyways Dyson takes care of the job.

I've had one for a couple years now (the basic model--yellow) and I love it. I had some problems with it a while back, but of course it was operator error. :) We cleaned the filter in it and it works like new again! Silly us. lol Anyway, if I had it to do over I would spring the extra for the purple one. Our dogs don't shed but both cats to really bad and all the dead grass that gets tracked in is pretty bad, too. The yellow one handles it, but the purple one would probably do better, along with the extra attachments (I think it has one that goes under beds???).

We don't have any pets, so no fur to pick up.
