We are moving this weekend! Our new house is not finished yet, so we will be living with my mom for a few months. My house has been a disaster for a few weeks now because of all the boxes and stuff. My dh has put a lot of things in storage already. Our living room is empty of furniture and just has a bunch of boxes in it. My kitchen is a complete mess. It's driving me nuts! Dd came home from school feeling sick too, just one more thing to add to my stress!

So as of Saturday we will be saying goodbye to our home It's always sad for me to leave a house. And it is a bummer to be leaving this neighborhood too. It would be so much easier if we had our own home to move into right away. My mom and I (and the rest of the family) get along great. I just don't want to live in someone else's house for that long.

I hope that all made sense. We've had crazy weather here, 70's today and it's supposed to drop down to 30 tonight....therefore i have had a major head ache all day!

Hang in there, Patti! Moving and buying a new home are two of the most stressful things you can go through as a couple/family. Is your family able to help you at all with the packing? Where are you storing all of your stuff?

Just keep your eye on the prize.....that new home you will be in very soon!

Packing, moving are terrible but I think the worst part is living amongst the chaos.

Moving is hard, no matter how positive a new house will be, in the end! I always hated how a new house doesn't feel like "your" house, until you have lived and slept there a while.

We moved right before Christmas once and since we didn't have kids quite yet (I was pregnant), we just didn't bother with a tree that year. Partly because it was just too much work and partly because it didn't feel like my house yet. By the next Christmas, we had Sarah and I was all excited about putting up a tree.

The time will pass quickly. We had to wait a few months to move into this house and while it seemed long at the time, that was almost 10 years ago already!
