My first eBay.....

Jen eBays all the time and was determined that her old mom would master the art of eBay shopping. I bought one thing on purpose, and another thing quite by accident. She told me I was an *official* eBay shopper now! Said you have to mess up once to become official. ROFL Thank goodness it wasn't for something hugely expensive. I thought I was bidding, and apparently all that was offered was a *buy it now* price. UGH! Lesson learned - read CAREFULLY before clicking!

Happens to the best of us!! I've had a couple of non-paying bidders over the past couple years, including one this week, but other than that I've had pretty good experiences, and have been part of over 150 auctions. I've bought things and overpaid, or not read the fine print before, but you just chalk it up to inexperience, and move on. Of course, you can always resell the item!!

Actually it was something I wanted, but I paid twice as much as I intended to. LOL

Congratulations!! You are part of the EBAY family now. Welcome!! :) lol

I have bought and sold a few things. It is kind of addicting right now for me. I actually sold an item for .99 cents last week. Now subtract the credit card fee and the listing fee and I made about 10 cents. ROFL Dh makes fun of me. But it's fun!

Conni, I've had a few auctions lately where I SHOULD have put a reserve, but didn't and made out poorly. Yet another part of the Ebay experience!! LOL! Honestly, I do enjoy it as well, I'm fairly good at writing descriptions, and some items have gone surprisingly high, so I guess it balances out the ones that go for nothing.

I have to get the nerve up to try and sell things. We have tons of stuff around here we need to get rid of.

Karen, you should do it! It's a great way to get rid of stuff that is still usable, but you aren't using!

We got rid of a camera, that didn't have a working shutter. Maybe the person just used it for parts. DH said in the description that it didn't work.

I've sold lots of things that were "for parts or repair" and made a decent amount on them. As long as you are honest and fair in your listing, you shouldn't be nervous!! Karen, if you ever want some help listing items, let me know, I'll be glad to give you a hand!
