I'm so nervous....

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion Archive: Archive March 2006: I'm so nervous....

Well. I was so prepared for Ashton having his endoscopy on March 22. But they just called and said they have a cancellation tomorrow. TOMORROW! and they want him to go ahead and have it done if we can. So I called hubby and told him to let them know he won't be in tomorrow instead of the 22nd.

I know it really isn't that big of a deal. I have had them done before. But when it's your baby having something, anything done, it's always a big deal. And they will fully put him to sleep for it.

Just needed to get that out. Please keep us in your prayers. We have to be there by ten in the morning, and the procedure will be at 11:00. We'll have to leave around 8:00 because it takes a little over an hour and a half to get there.

You all will be in my thoughts, let us know how it goes when you get a chance. I'm sure everything is going to be alright, I know that doesn't help though.

(((hugs to mommy and Ashton)))

Even if it IS a minor procedure, it's our job as Mommies to worry about our little ones!

Hopefully this will give you some answers for him. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow!

{{{hugs}}} I know it is hard and you're worried. I was too when ds had this done. But, it will help them find out what is wrong, so they can get him on the right meds. My ds is 100% better since we had this done last spring. They were able to find out what was causing him pain and get him on the right meds to fix it. So, try and just think about how much better he will be after it is done.

Thanks to you for the good wishes and hugs and prayers. It helped very much.

We are home and all went well. I didn't tell Ashton about it until this morning so he didn't have to worry and get all worked up about it all yesterday and last night. I told him this morning and it worked out like that so much better. He really took it so well.

Anyhow, no adhesions from the acid. There was a lot of acid, but there was also bile in his stomach from his liver that isn't supposed to be in the stomach. His doctor wasn't sure if this was there because of his nerves, or if this is the cause of his stomach nausea and pain. So she took a couple of biopsies to find out if the bile is always present. Once we find out next week, we will figure out which way to go with treatment.

Thanks again for your prayers.
