Need a name

We've decided to get another mini-schnauzer. We were actually supposed to go look at one tonight. A 7 1/2mo girl named Twinkle. But this afternoon her current owner called and said, "Sorry, we changed our minds and we're going to keep her." So I've left a message with someone advertising 6wk old puppies and accepting deposits. I figure if we get one of those I have at least a couple weeks before we bring one home. So now I need a name. The one we have now is a boy named Lucky (middle name "Dog" lol--Randy named him ). We'll probably try and get a girl (not for breeding--we'll get her fixed). What goes well with Lucky? I've suggested Lady and dh nixed that. He's not really into that "cutsie" stuff. Whatever. Actually, whatever we name her she'll probably end up with the nickname "Bean" or "Beanie". I've thought of maybe calling her Jelly Bean. What do you think? What can all you creative people come up with???

I like Bean or Beanie. Very cute. I'm not crazy about Jelly Bean though.
If you are like me you'll change it after you meet her.
I wanted to get a Papillon puppy for the longest time and I had every intention of calling it Cricket. When we bought one last fall that name did not fit him at all. After we had him for several hours, watched him, his quirks, etc we decided on another name.

I talked to the guy and they only have little boy puppies. We're going to go see them Sunday (he's going out of town this weekend and wouldn't make plans for his wife--understand that!). I showed dh the responses and said, "we could just go with Mr. Bean." and he said, "Yeah!" We like Bean because when Lucky curls up on his side he looks just like a little kidney bean. The pups were 6 weeks on Wednesday and will be ready at 8 weeks. So if we get one I guess we'll bring him home on March 8th. That works because I'm off that day and can go get him. (Robin's ear surgery is March 6th and I took three days off) I'll keep you updated and will definately post baby pictures!

Yeah Bean's a cool name.

Hey, I knew a guy that had a schnauzer named 'Pooter'. When I asked why he came up with that name he said the dog pootered all the time. ROFL It was so funny to look at the dog and call him pooter.

We had one named Gretyl and my sis always thought it would be cool to get a male and call him Hansel. LOL

Pooter? Too funny. A guy one street over has a dog named "Focker". We can sometimes hear him calling his dog from his back door. Oh, boy! lol

My mom thinks Bean is a wierd name. She said, "How would you like to be called 'Bean'?" lol We like it, though.

A little off topic, but in one of the school where I taught there was a boy named "Porknbeans". So yep bean for a dog seems like a perfect fit

"Bean" is cute! We've had three schnauzers, but they were/are all boys...Barney, Max, and Fritz. I always call Fritz "Fritzy baby," so I would always be saying "Beanie baby!"LOL. Love, love, love schnauzers!
