Last weekend at my parents house she had some sores come up on her hairline which they looked like a rug burn. I didn't think anything about it or worry well Tuesday she had these sores on her chin and under her nose so got her intot the doctor today and she has infentigo (sp?). He put her on an antibiotic and an ointment. he said it wont be contagious after 24 hours of being on the medicine. which I am thankfull. Youngest dd and ds are both on antibiotics for and ear infection and sinus infection so they shouldn't catch it I just have to watch dd #2 and make sure she don't catch it.I can remember having it at a young age but not quite like hers.

It's impetigo. My ds had this as a toddler from scratching insect bites. You caught and are treating the infection early. You shouldn't have any further problems.

Impetigo *is* contagious, so be careful! My kids never had it, but my neighbor's kids had it a number of times when they were all young. And funny, HER DS had it for his b'day too!

I hope all of your crew is on the mend soon!!
