Busy Week

I was not around much last week.

It all started on Tuesday, Valentine's Day. My FIL called us to tell us that his Mom, my DH's Grandma, had passed away that day at noon. She has been struggling with MS for quite some time now, and has been in a wheel chair for as long as I've known her, which is about 10years. My MIL & FIL live in Virginia, so my FIL flew down for the funeral. They couldn't afford 2 tickets, so he came. He hasn't seen Rylee since she was 1 month old. It was really good to get them together, and she loves her Pop-Pop.

Wednesday was a pretty normal day. Nothing too exciting. I cleaned the house and did some food shopping.

Thursday, my FIL flew into town, and we had him over for dinner. He stayed with his MIL. She came for dinner as well. I took tons of pictures of Rylee and her Pop-Pop that night as they played and sat together. It was so cute. She definately made him feel better.

Friday, my DH had off. He gets 3 days of grievence. We hung around the house pretty much.

Saturday, I had a birthday party for my cousin who was turning 1. Then I had to go straight to a baby shower for another one of my cousins.

Sunday, we had a surprise party for my Mom. She turned 50 on Wednesday. She was so shocked, and cried. We had a brunch at Jacksons for her. The wake was tonight too.

Monday was the funeral. Rylee did ok. I had to wait in the lobby for most of it. When it was over, we went back into the room. And Rylee kept saying, "Look, a baby." I kept telling her that that was her Great Grandma, not a baby. When we walked up towards the cascet to leave, Rylee said, "Shhh, She sleeping." A couple people heard her and laughed, one cried.

Yesterday, since my DH had off, we went to the Zoo. He has been working so much and hasn't spent a lot of time with Rylee lately due to his hours, so this was a well needed day. They had so much fun together. It was cute to see Daddy and Daughter bonding.

Now, I'm ready to relax and just chill.

I forgot to add that on Saturday night, Rylee was sitting in her little chair, and it fell over. She busted her lip on the bottom and we took her to Pediatric Emergency Care After Hours. That is the BEST place to take a child. Rylee ended up getting 2 stitches. She never cried, but I did. I was so proud of her.

Hey Rayanne. I posted to you the other day, but see it is missing from the current board. I'll go find it and bump it so I don't have to retype.

You have really had a lot going on this past month. Sorry to hear about your GMIL death. Hope your DH is doing well.

WOW, Rayanne! You have been busy. I am sorry about your DH's grandmother. You need a nice hot bath. Take it easy. :)

My goodness girl! Take a bubble bath. So sorry about your DH's grandmother and Rylee's stitches. You've had quite a lot on your plate. Take it easy and pop in when you can. (((Rayanne)))

Rayanne, sorry to hear about your DH's grandmother. ^5 to Rylee for being such a big girl! It's usually harder on mom when your baby needs stitches! Gosh, I'm the same age as your mom. You girls are making me feel old.

Hopefully things will settle back to normal for you. {{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
