Everyone thank you for all the concern you've shown, I took sammy to the doctor and the doctor looked at her throat and she had white pus balls on the back of her throat. She gave her antibiotics and she is to stay home one more day, and take motrin for her fever. Thank you Ginny for emailing I really appreciate your help, and I didn't mind one bit that you emailed me. I really appreciate everyone at momsview!!!
They took a strep test and will let us know.

Thanks for the update. I had that happen a few years ago coupled with total laryngitis and I felt so incredibly horrible. I even had to have liquid meds because I couldn't swallaw. I would just lay on the couch with a towel under my head so I could drool b/c it was too excruciating to swallow my own saliva. Did they give her a shot of antibiotics too? That would really give a jumpstart on attacking the infection. Hope she's better soon!

pam, sammy was given the choice of a shot or pills and she chose pills. She hates needles, haveing blood drawn anything like that. She wants her ears pierced but won't do it because she's afraid it will hurt!

My kids always hated me because I opted for the shots for them. But you should know, it was usually 2 or 3 of the 4 with strep at the same time, so it was just much easier all around.

Now that they are grown, Jen still gets strep or tonsilitis 2 or 3 times a year, and she ends up with oral meds, instead of shots.

When I had pneumonia 3 years ago, I got a shot and then pills to take at home.
