Bought Kaitlyn's bedroom set... FINALLY!

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion Archive: Archive February 2006: Bought Kaitlyn's bedroom set... FINALLY!

After over 6 months of looking I finally bought her bedroom set. She has a daybed right now and still the nursery furniture (dresser, bookcase etc..) from when she was a baby that I now want to use for Nathan's room. So we bought it on Saturday though we won't get it until mid-March.

Now I just have to find a new theme for her room. I kind of like the flowers, bugs, butterflies type themes and I want to find something she won't outgrow too fast. Character themes are a no-no, she has a new favorite one every week it seems. I was also thinking of maybe keeping it simple and doing either pink or purple gingham bedding and working around that.

Any fun ideas for a girls room would be appreciated!

That is beautiful!!!!!

I love the butterfly, flowers, bug theme. There is SO much out there to decorate with that stuff.

Natalie's room is in bugs, butterflies, and flowers, also, so no new ideas here. Cute furniture though. Enjoy setting up her room!

Love the furniture, and love the gingham idea. You can use flowers/butterflies/bugs or faeries with that.

We did Sami's room in butterflies and flowers when she turned three. It was a hit and we just changed it this winter to a more "grown-up" theme (pink and black rockstar theme). We have Bella's bedding in blue and yellow patterns (small floral, gingham, and stripes) but there's just something about butterflies in a little girl's room! :) I bet you'll love the captain's bed. Where did you find the set?

That's so pretty. I like the theme you have in mind too.
