Let it snow!

We are threated with 6-12 inches of snow in SE PA and along the Middle Atlantic region. I just finished all my errands - library, supermarket, dog food, cigarettes and gas - just finishing the last errand as flurries started. So I'm done - let it snow. (And I have a live in snow shoveler, so that's not my problem either.)

Our township is good at plowing, and my route to work should be well plowed and pretty clear by the time I venture out Monday morning.

So let it snow.

hehe @ live in snow shoveler! That sure made me smile. I'm glad you got all your errands finished! :) Bundle up and keep warm Ginny dear ((((((( hugs )))))))

We haven't really had a big snowstorm here, in WI, all winter! Usually by now, we've had several! I wonder if we are going to get by with that, or if we are going to get big snows in March or April. It has happened before. In April 1973, we had a big enough snowstorm that I missed 2 days of school! LOL!

We get 5 inches there, 2 inches here, an inch there that melts during the day. It's been a strange winter.

Still snowing when we got up at 5:30, we probably got about 8-10 inches so far, but it is not wet, heavy snow. Took about 45 minutes of shoveling to clear the driveway and Scott's car - he works with lab animals so someone has to be there 7 days a week. (I shoveled a bit, but Scott did most of it.) Our little side street was plowed (our township is really great for things like this, which is why I don't really mind paying my township taxes). Scott called me from the train - they were starting to clear the lot as he got there, and his train was only 10 minutes late. The lot should be plowed and the trains on time at the end of the day, because the snow is supposed to stop between 10 and Noon. He has a shovel in the car, to get out of his parking place. I promised I'd keep the driveway reasonably clear, but I am not going to tackle the sidewalks.

The biggest problem is Sascha, our 110# Rottweiler baby. She is recovering from a second ACL surgery about 3 weeks ago, needs a bit of help going down and up the stairs, and is convinced she (a) requires grass on which to do her business, (b) deserves at least 5 minutes of ambling along sniffing grass before she picks a space to bless and (c) thinks snow is lots of fun and she ought to be able to push her way into the deepest parts of it. Scott did shovel off a small space on the lawn for her, but she wasn't convinced that *that* was the right place. When she gets really, really anxious, I'll take her out again. She's got her bandages off, but doesn't get the staples out until Tuesday, and can't put a lot of weight on that leg (and she is a lot of weight) for more than a few minutes.

Be sure and post pics for those of us less fortunate. lol It snowed here all day yesterday and didnt accumulate squat. We didnt go out to the lake property and get firewood as planned, since it was too cold to be working outside. We have to go today no matter how cold it is, as our we will run out of wood this morning...

We went out to dinner last night with neighbors as planned, roads were all clear.

I *really* wish we could get ONE really good snow so the kids could enjoy playing in it. :(
I just cant believe how warm it has been here all winter.

Glad your pup is healing good and the 2nd surgery went well. Thats too cute about her picking a spot to bless the yard. lol

Stay safe and warm!

It's snowing like crazy here. I just got back from snowshoeing. I went way, way out in the woods and found some old cellar holes in the middle of no where. There wasn't a soul or a sound. It was beautiful.

It's still snowing here in CT! We have what looks to be over a foot already and it's still coming down. We've only seen the snow plow once today! DH made it home just before the snow last night. He had to catch a different flight and fly into Boston and rent a car.

It's so pretty! I just love storms with the light fluffy snow! :)

We've had about another 3 inches, and it has stopped, although KYW is warning of strong winds and blowing. And I have a snow-plow good-fairy neighbor, who did the sidewalks for four contiguous houses, including mine, which is about 60-70 feet of sidewalk that we don't have to shovel. I'm going to ask Scott to bake some bread on his day off to take to them.

I have shoveled, cleaned off the van, shoveled more, got into a snowball fight, did two loads of laundry, shoveled even more, wiped the kitchen floor down 4 times and shoveled a little more.

I've had my fill of snow. :)

Colette, I spoke with my sister in Milton about 4:00 pm. She guesses they got about 24 inches....so far! :)
