Moms View Message Board: General Discussion Archive: Archive February 2006: Bath crayons??
Do any of you have bath crayons? I found some Crayola Scribblers (haven't used yet), but they are awfully big and are really a gel. I had some bath crayons several years back that I was given as a joke from my SIL, but ended up throwing them away. They looked like regular crayons in a box. I've looked everywhere. Any ideas?? TIA
I've gotten them in the kids' bath stuff at Wal-mart, but ours have never worked really well. Someone else may have found a brand that works well. Basically all they are are colored soap. If you find some good ones, let me know!
We have "Rub-a-dub" bath crayons made by Alex. They are great. Randy was quite the little Picasso. If I remember, I'll post a pic.
I had some for Kaitlyn. I think they were the Crayola brand. I hated the red ones. If I didn't wipe them down right away after her bath, it took a bit of elbow grease to get the coloring off. Other than that, she loved them. I didn't keep them very long though. We just use colored bubbles now.
I'm with Melissa, we don't use them very much anymore... To add a little something different how about just some tub tints? The crayola ones are great and not near as messy as the crayons!
Tried them, hated them. Go with shaving cream, or bath tints!!
My kids all loved them. It comes right off with regular bathroom cleaner.
I've read reviews that the Crayolas are no good, and Ame, I saw the ones you mentioned online as well as some from Baby Einstein. I just haven't seen ANY of those anywhere...Walmart, Target, Meijer, Kmart. I guess I will have to order some online! I have also seen the tub tints but haven't tried them yet. We were planning to try shaving cream, too!
