Have you tried the new Cafe Cookies? They are gooooood! I think I almost like them better than Thin Mints.

By Kaye on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 - 08:07 pm:

Which ones are the cafe cookies??

Our council (and 85% of all councils) uses ABC bakers. Our new cookies are cartwheels (which are oatmeal cinamon) and thanks a lots, which are shortbread with choc on the back.

The Cafe Cookies are a shortbread cookie with cinnamon. I'd like to try the cartwheels, too, as I like oatmeal cookies, and with cinnamon they should be good. Our in-house IT guy is my Girl Scout Cookie supplier (for his daughter). I'll have to see if Cartwheels are on the list.

My GS Cookie box says "Little Brownie Bakers", in Louisville, KY. (I note the information on the side of the box also says, I am pleased to see, "Contains wheat, soy and milk ingredients. May contain traces of tree nuts." Good to see those clear warnings.)

Different areas have different names for many of the cookies. I still ove the Samoas. The coconut round ones! The thin mints are fantastic when frozen!

I put my order in for 6 boxes. We don't get them until the end of the month. I can't wait for the Samoas! I havn't tried the cafe ones yet.

Yes,we have tried them. They gave us a sample at a girlscout meeting last month. The girls did not care for them. I think its more of an adult cookie. I did not like them either. I love my Thin mints, they will always be my favorite.

By Dawnk777 on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 - 11:02 pm:

I can't remember if we ordered them or not. Our cookies won't come until the end of the month. I think maybe we ordered one box.

(2 Samoas, 2 mints, 2 dosidos, 2 tagalongs, and 2 trefoils and 1 cafe)

There are two bakers for GS cookies. Little Brownie Bakers, which has the "names". And then ABC baker which has the peanut butter sandwiches, shortbread etc. If your supplier has LBB, you can't get cartwheels. Our thanks alot are the same as your ...hmmm I think tag a longs, but I am not sure.

I'm hoping my *regular* neighborhood girl scouts come to my door! LOL I LOVE LOVE LOVE the mint cookies!

Our orders wont come in until Feb 17th. People have been asking me for weeks now, when they will get their cookies.

I havent tried these and didnt order any. I did buy my usual 6 boxes from the neighbor girl. I would have ordered more, but didnt want to seem like a pig, ya know? I will have to ask about these.

I cant wait until we get ours!

the 17th is perfect. Just in time for my move, lol.

By Karen~moderator on Thursday, February 9, 2006 - 08:02 am:

Well, if orders are coming in, I guess my Scouts passed me by this year.

By Kaye on Thursday, February 9, 2006 - 08:10 am:

Karen, I can meet your cookie needs :) Or if you know your local council number they typically have a set up where you can call in and they will deliever and the business goes to a local girl. Also cookie booths will start soon. As much as I am willing to ship to you, I also know that keeping money locally is very important.
