100th day of school today.

The kindergarten teachers, at the school where I'm a lunchlady, all had cute 100th day sweatshirts on! I loved it!

My kids are too old now, to do special things on the 100th day. I'm kind of glad that I work at the elementary school, where it's still a big deal.

So, only 80 more days to go, before the end of the school year! LOL!

Sarah is picking classes for next year. She wants to take Anatomy and Physiology, AP Calculus, AP Physics, Honors Humanities, Social Issues, Intro to Photography, and Band! Yikes!

She wants to be a nurse, so that's why the A&P class! She is also interested in photography, too.

Emily will have a full schedule, too, but she gets fewer choices. African-Asian World, English, Biology, Spanish, Band, Gym/Health, and Geometry.

We had our 100 day of school last Monday. :) Blake's class had a 100 day party. He had a great time!

Do you want your dd to become a nurse? That must be a neat feeling that your child wants to follow in your footsteps. :)

Our 100th day is next Friday (February 10th). I can't wait. Although my job sharing partner never started the countdown at the beginning of the year, I am subbing on that morning in my ds's grade 1 class. I get to be a "smarty pants" on the 100th day of school. I have an old pair of pants that I have hot-glued 100 smarties to.

What a coincidence! I was going to post earlier looking for suggestions concerning our 100th day, but never got the chance. Our school's celebration is this Friday and my 1st grader has to make a project using 100 things. I thought we'd take the easy way out and put 100 Skittles in a glass jar, but discovered that it would be a very small jar! LOL So...we decided to do something else. :)

I LOVED 100day as a K teacher!!! I made a jean jacket with 100 buttons sewn on it that I wore every year. The kids brought so many cool things and there were great math-related activities that day with parents and students. I miss it!! :)
Sunny...I think I've had just about everything for 100 day. Sounds like you know what you're doing already, but if you need suggestions, give me a holler! reds 9298 @ insightbb dot com (without spaces)

All of my kids loved the 100th day of school when they were in K-Garten

DD wore 100 paper clips in her hair
DS brought 100 beans
DS wore 100 stripes! Too cute, he looked like a Dr Suess Charecter!

I'm not real creative when it comes to this stuff, Deanna, but this is what we decided. I bought a foam sheet and we are going to "decorate" it with 100 foam letters. We sat down earlier and my Ds wrote in glitter glue a big 100 in the middle of the foam. We then wrote out a list of words that adds up to 100 letters, now we just need to figure out how we want to arrange them. I am a little curious to see what the other kids will do, though. Maybe I'll get some ideas for when my youngest does this in a couple of years! LOL

I think your idea is VERY COOL Sunny!!

Someone handed out *100 Grand* candy bars in Blake's class last week. I thought that was pretty clever! :)

Sarah had to bring a hundred of something to kindergarten or first grade. I can't remember anymore. Other years, they have made necklaces out of 100 fruit loops.

Paula, the "smarty-pants" thing sounds so cute!

Reds, the jean jacket with 100 buttons on it sounds cute, too.

Conni, she decided to be a nurse, all on her own. She has always been interested in science, from little on! It is something that came up in parent-teacher conferences.
