A scare last night

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion Archive: Archive February 2006: A scare last night

I Raya to bed last night. She started crying a little, so I went to get her. Right before I got to her door, her door slammed shut and she started SCREAMING! I opened the door, and she was on the floor! I nearly had a heart attack! She was crying, but she was fine. As soon as I got her into the living room she wanted down, and took off playing.

Needless to say, DH lowered her mattress after that incident!

They sure know how to scare us to death!

Oh my goodness! I would have been so scared when the door slammed shut like that! Thank goodness everything was okay.

One time my dd decided to hide from us. She was just over three, and up until then, she would not leave our bedroom (she had a toddler bed in there) without someone because she was scared to be alone. Well, I woke up, and looked over at her bed, and she was not there. I searched everywhere in the room. No where. We only had a one story house, with two bedrooms and about 2000 square feet, so it wasn't difficult to search everywhere. My husband was out of bed searching, and we were hollering for her, and were getting ready to go outside when we heard a giggle. She was hiding in her little tent in the living room! I don't know what made her decide she wasn't scared to leave the room anymore, but she scared us to death! And I had just finished reading the Left Behind book, so that was in my head, but I knew it couldn't be that because our son, just an infant, was still there, and we are saved, too!!!

It is a wonder we moms don't kill over with heart attacks at some of the things we go through with these kids!!
