Competition pistol and rifle shooting.

He LOVES doing this. Last year he made it all the way to division matches in the top 10 (out of I believe 500 shooters) and on the last day he was so nervous that he messed up and went straight from 2nd to 34th place, therefore disqualifing him from going on to the Marine Corps shooting team. This is practice week for him this week and so far he is in 1st place out of the whole range. He's hoping that he does great this year and doesn't let nervousness get the best of him. He'd love to be on the shooting team. He comes home everyday while a smile ear to ear saying "Now *this* is what I joined the Marines to do!"

I'm just so excited for him and thought i'd share. If he gets on the shooting team, he'll have the opportunity to compete around the world and also earn special recognition.

Thats awesome. I'm glad that he has something to look forward to. It is always so nice to see our dh's do something they love.

My dh use to love shooting too. He actually watches a video of himself, way too often! LOL

Good luck to your dh! My dh isnt in the marines, but he loves to shoot. He probably would think a competition like this would be alot of fun.

Dh takes the boys skeet shooting. We have one of those skeep throwers. Its pretty fun!

I like to shoot bows. I think *I* might enjoy a bow shooting competition.
