until Valentine's Day! It's such a Hallmark holiday but I absolutely love it! And only 16 days until DH and I go on our marriage retreat. February is a good month! I'm such a sucker for romance!

Bea, it's actually a CREDO (Chaplain's Religeous Enrichment Development Operation) marriage enrichment retreat through the military. It's up near the Sequoia Nat'l Forest. I have a lot of friends who have gone and they can't speak highly enough of it. We can't wait. I almost think DH may be more excited than I am, if that's possible.

This is a description of what they focus on:
"On the retreat you will establish priorities as you chart your path in life by looking at your past, present and future as a couple. If necessary, you will be helped to resolve painful issues and grief.

You will be shown ways to accept personal responsibility, build your self-confidence, gain a clearer insight into yourself, those you love, and the world at large, and learn how to improve the relationships in your life.

You will also have an an opportunity to develop deeper intimacy, practice communication techniques, and learn about your mate's emotional, physical, and spiritual needs."

I'll admit to being a sucker for Valentine's Day. I know that my dh loves me everyday but, let's face it, romance does tend to fall by the wayside sometimes, due to daily life. We don't do the typical dinner out but I've gotten some very thoughtful presents on Valentine's Day from him and he is very considerate of how much V-Day means to me.

I'm jealous of your marriage retreat, Melissa! DH and I are in a good place in our marriage but it just makes me wonder how much better it could be, if we were to go on an intensive retreat for it. Enjoy it.
