My dd and I were measured for better fitting bras. We were both wearing 36 B. We are now wearing 34 D. What a difference the new sizing makes. I used to have some tenderness on my right breast but that is gone now. I feel so much more comfortabe. No way do we look like D cups; we were both flabbergasted!

It also depends on where you are shopping. I ONLY buy VS Very Sexy collection bras, I love them, so I always get measured at VS. I do know what you mean about size making a difference, you feel SO much better with a properly fitted bra. As for the D cups, I am wondering if sizes are "shrinking" like pants sizes have. It makes sense, since we're a country that puts value on larger breasts, and what used to be too small to fit is now an A, a bit of an ego boost if you are small. Just my theory of course!

I only buy VS too. I normally buy the Very Sexy lightly padded push ups and I wear a D cup in VS. Any other store I wear a C so I think VS makes them smaller. These days i'm in a DD and VS has a limited supply of what they make it those. I bought a new bra from the Angels line and it's so comfortable. If I get any bigger i'm at a loss. I've only shopped VS for 4 years and don't even remember what else is out there.

I'm between a D and DD, and VS has very few bras that fit right. The sales girl was even getting frustrated, lol! I did have better luck at Gap Body. I agree...the perfect fit makes all the difference!

Just to add a note here...I'm not trying to threadjack, but I received an unsolicited email from a guy who found out I was a certain cup size and made comments on it and my picture. He found out on this website and then got on my business website and emailed me.

I now no longer post my email anywhere and removed a picture of myself and my business website.

Just be careful of pervs out there!!!!!!!!!!!! I now posted a big ol'picture of my husband in my bio!!!!!

I did not like any of the victoria secret bras either. I wear a dd. None of them seemed to fit right. I have bought Curvation from walmart and some other nice brands from Kohls when they have them on sale. So far my favorite is the Curvation minimizer for $13 at walmart.

I can't shop for bras at VS most of the time, either. I can actually find the best fit for my large chest at a plus size store. So much support and so comfy. Most of them are actually pretty and not "grandmotherly" at all! I haven't ever been professionally fit so I guess I should get that done. It just gives me the heebie-jeebies to have someone else messing around with "my girls".

Kim, I still vote VS for you. They have a wide selection of cups/bands, and the site has even more. I like the Very Sexy push up because it helps with sagging, but their other lines are great too!! Kaye, you don't even have to remove your shirt or anything, you just take your bra off in the dressing room, and they measure with a tape measure. Really NOT invasive, and TOTALLY worth it.

RE: the pervert~ We've had our fair share of them here, asking for worn undies, and all kinds of stuff. Honestly, I treat them like spam mail, delete. If someone is getting off thinking about my cup sizez, whatever... a stranger at the mall could do the same thing, without you knowing.

RE: the VS Very Sexy bras - check the website frequently - they have great sales. Also, if you have the time and the patience, they have a semi-annual sale in the stores, and the bras are in bins by sizes, and if you are willing to go through each bin, you can get some great deals. A couple years ago, I got some Very Sexy bras for $9.99!!!!
