My jaw has been KILLING me for 2 weeks. I kept putting it off to see if it would get better on it's own. So, I went to the doctor today. He said it was stress-induced TMJ. He gave me an anti-inflamitory. I hope it does the trick. I can't really eat anything other than saltines and applesauce. lol

I have TMJ too. It occasionally bothers me but it's not too bad. I hope you feel better. I hate the days when my jaws seems a little more tight than usual. I can only imagine your discomfort.

I've had great success treating TMJ with Acupuncture. I know the thought of having tiny needles in your face might be scary but it really is one thing Acupuncture works very well for. I'm sorry to hear you both have this problem:( It can be very painful and frustrating.

I get it on occasion too. Advil always takes care of it though.

I've had to go to a prescription strength anti-inflammatory for mine. It really helps. I hope you get some relief. My case is stress-induced and I notice mine is worst in the morning because I clench my teeth during the night. I know a bite guard would help but I can't get used to sleeping in it. Maybe one would help with your's? I've never tried acupuncture but my chiropractor used to help with mine quite a bit. Alyssa, do you think you could start traveling between all of us on Momsview and treat us all for our various ailments??? :)
