I love my mini van

Ok, over a year ago we leased a new Nissan Quest. I had a lot of trouble going to a minivan after driving my husband's Audi for a few months, but now I can honestly say I don't know what I'd do without it!

We had a power failure all day yeaterday and by 5:30 I was ready to tear my hair out! We got home from the A&P, I put Dora on the DVD player and we sat in the driveway in the car (with the engine off) and had sandwiches for dinner and watched Dora!

It was the coolest thing! It was like having a second living room! The kids were warm and calmed down after being freaked out about the blackout and I got some downtime!

So - back to our for or against DVD players in the car - here's another reason I'm glad to have had one!

smileythumbsup Kewl! I also love my minivan! Hmmm, I didn't know you could use the DVD with the engine turned off. Wouldn't that drain the battery? I'll have to keep that in mind if we ever lose power. LOL!

LOL My dh took DVD's on his huntig trip. I was like 'You dont have a TV out at the old house and there is no power?' He said ' I know, I am going to watch movies in the TRUCK! ' ROFL

And he did...:)

One of my neighbors had a few kids from the neighborhood watching movies in her van, last summer! LOL!

It's just like playing the radio, Trina. Every 20 minutes or so, I'd run the engine for 5 min, just to keep the car warm and make sure I didn't run down the battery.
I probably could have left it on, but we've learned the hard way in our family not to fool with carbon monoxide.
