Candle making question

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion Archive: Archive January 2006: Candle making question
By Luvn29 on Saturday, January 14, 2006 - 05:57 pm:

We got my daughter a candle maker for Christmas. All you do is plug it in and put the wax in the pot like thing, it melts it, and you open the plug to drain the wax into a candle holder.

We accidentally picked up potpourri refresher oil instead of candle fragrance because someone had placed it with the candle making supplies. Is it possible to use this as a fragrance, or would it be flammable, do you think?

Very likely it is NOT compatible. I would not use it!

Ugh, I was thinking not! At least it wasn't too expensive!

Guess we'll just buy some potpourri in the same scent and use it for that... Not worth the bother of taking it back and exchanging it!

I agree I would not use it either. We make alot of candles around here. I would certainly think Candle fragrance and potpourri oil is 2 different things.

You will likely find only small and expensive bottles of scent. I order mine in large bottles from this company.
