Sick!!! Randy's complaining of a sore throat and has a horrible cough. Robin's all congested and can barely breath through his nose and also had a nasty cough. Dh also has a cold and is really dragging tail. I'm the only one that feels good, but I've been sick with a nasty cold for the past two weeks and am finally getting over it! Funny thing is, I took Randy's and dh's temps and they were both about 100*. I didn't even bother taking Robin's because his ear canals are so narrow it always ends up being about 93* for him! lol I thought what the heck and took mine and it was 100.8*! I would say there's something wrong with the thermometer but Randy definately has a temp. Of course with tomorrow being the official holiday I can't take either of the boys (or dh) to the doc until Tuesday. I'm sure Randy has strep, probably dh, too. Oh, Merry Christmas to us! Really, we did have a great day. We've play more board games today than we have in probably years past combined and we're going downstairs to watch a movie as soon as the pies come out of the oven. It really was a great Christmas, despite the illness in the house. I hope everyone else had a great day, too! :)

So sorry to hear your family is sick. Can you take them to the urgent care in your area ? Ours is open around out town.
I hope everyone in your family gets better fast.
We are fighting bronchitis with 3 out of 5 of us.

Same here!! Younger DD had the stomach funk on Christmas Eve and half of the day yesterday and now Older DD and DH are sick with it! AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I figure the day everyone goes back to school & work and I can finally relax is when I will get it! When there is no one here to take care of me!

Awwwwwww Cat I'm sorry that you all got sick! :( I got sick for Christmas too and my little ones were at their dads so I haven't really done Christmas yet other than with my bf and a friend. I'm getting them home today and we're opening our gifts. I spent all Christmas sick on the couch reading and working on a puzzle lol!

Tonight I imagine the little ones and I will be watching movies and playing and just hanging out together.

Tomorrow my bf is bringing his son over to hang out with my children so I'm happy with that.

I hope you all are feeling better soon! I am glad it didn't interfere too much with your celebration, though.

Half way through yesterday the same thing hit me like a ton of bricks. I had 19 people for dinner, which was nice, but could hardly stay awake. I slept from 9pm - 11am, but spent the most of the day in bed. I still feel like crap, and if I'm no better tomorrow, I'll go to the clinic.
I hope you guys get over it quickly!!

Randy's not any better so we'll head to the doc tomorrow. Hopefully we can get an appointment. They have walk in rapid strep tests, but I really want him seen in case it isn't strep. I'm going to try and get an appointment for Robin, too, since even though his throat doesn't hurt he's probably carrying it.

Marcia and Catherin, I hope you both feel better soon. Hugs :)

Sarah, I'm sorry you've had a bug at your house. I'm hoping everyone's feeling better by now! :)

I got Randy an appointment at 1pm today. The only other appointments they had were this morning and Robin's got a therapy appointment at 10 on the other side of town. I'll do a walk in strep test for Robin, and I know the person they're seeing (their pcm is a friend of mine-PNP) and if she needs to she'll take a look at Robin. I'll let you know.

By Karen~moderator on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 - 11:55 am:

Gosh, I hope ALL of you sickies get well soon!

By Cat on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 - 04:47 pm:

Well Randy doesn't have strep (neither does Robin). She said it sounded more like a respiratory thing and gave him an rx for an alburterol inhailor (sp). So for now he's supposed to do that every four hours and then start doing it less often, as needed. I asked if this was a precursor to asthma and she said if he were to get this very often then it could be. Gee, I just thought we'd get some amoxil and be done with it! Silly me--things can't be that easy, can they. Oh, the joys...

lol we will join the crowd ... we all got bronchitis three prescriptions and a shot thrown if for free from the Dr visit. wasnt that nice of him? lol cough cough choke lol
