Remember how DH had to be gone at work all last week and how he had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (basically 7am-10pm both days)? Well, he just told me last night that he'll be home on Christmas Day by 6pm! We are so excited. Now he won't miss Christmas dinner with us and we'll wait to open the gifts until after dinner instead of opening them on Christmas morning without him. He's had such a horrible schedule this month, poor thing.

I'm going to make him chocolate chip cookies from scratch, and his favorite chocolate drink, and have some chocolate bear claw candies, and have his slippers ready, and make him the mashed potatoes without the skins in them, and....well, maybe I'll just get a pack of refrigerated cookie dough and enjoy the fact that he's home.
