I wasnt sure what to title this post. Are you ever hesitant to give a gift to somebody who you know doesnt have one for you? I dont mean, that people shouldnt do it. I mean some people get so uncomfortable when they get a gift and dont have one in return? Why is it? I guess people are afraid of looking rude, or cheap or whatever, or maybe afraid of looking uncaring.
I know Im going to give a few people some homemade gifts(candles and cookies)and I know they dont have anything for us. I dont care, but Imalmost hesitant because they will surely feel uncomfortable. Its not a matter of wanting something in return, because Im not about that.
Does anybody else ever feel that way about giving people gifts?

We give a lot of homemade gifts to people we know will not be giving to us. My hubby gives gifts to everyone he works with. They never give to him or anyone else. That is OK. It makes us feel good to give and we enjoy putting together gifts for them.
I think sometimes it is harder to receive than to give. If it is someone I think feels uncomfortable, I will say something like "we had so much fun making these. We wanted to share them with you".
