Wow! An unexpected bit of holiday cheer

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion Archive: Archive December 2005 : Wow! An unexpected bit of holiday cheer
By Colette on Saturday, December 17, 2005 - 10:29 am:

I just got back from picking up the pot I mentioned in the earlier birthday post. While I was there, the man who owns the store (it's a small store), asked me what I had given myself for Christmas this year, when I told him I hadn't and I probably wasn't, he told me I could pick out anything I wanted in the store as a gift from him. I thought he was kidding but he wasn't. He absolutely insisted I take something so I ended up getting a handpoured candle I saw that I liked. I just thought that was a really nice thing for him to do and COMPLETELY unexpected.

Trina - the store is right in North Hampton so if you are in the area, check it out.

Colette, what store is it? I'm curious! I have friends and family in the area and they might know the store owner.

What a lovely man! Boy, he not only managed to brighten your day but ours too! Maybe he believes in "paying it forward".

That is great, you usually don't see that kind of kindness now a days.
