Call me a big meanie but I always include a toothbrush. We get the plain ol' ones from the dentist but at Christmas I usually get them one that has a character they like on it. Barbie for DD and Spiderman for DS.

This year I also got some small perfume/cologne for them. Walmart has some nice trial size ones.

Pez candies were big for my boys. And pocket size address or date books.

And, don't forget the Dollar Store, Dollar Tree, or whatever is near you, and the dollar sample size toiletries most chain drugstores have. Target has a bunch of racks with stuff reduced to a dollar near their main entrance, and I got a cute little stuffed Rottie puppie for Scott, which is appropriate as his Sascha is a Rottie.
