Gas prices

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion Archive: Archive November 2005: Gas prices
By Dawnk777 on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 - 12:14 am:

I paid $2.19 tonight. They have been dropping a penny or two, every day, for a while. 2.19 is a lot better than 3.25, like we paid for awhile, after Katrina. It might have gone up just slightly higher than that, but didn't stay that way long, and I don't think I had to buy gas at that time, anyway. I can't remember anymore.

I don't know if it will drop down below $2, but I still cheer everytime the price drops again! It was nice only paying $23 for 10.8 gallons of gas, compared to about $30, right after the hurricanes!

By Kaye on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 - 12:51 am:

It was 1.95 in town yesterday...very exciting!

By Colette on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 - 05:54 am:

It was 1.95 in NH the other day.

By Colette on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 - 05:55 am:

I wish the natural gas rates would drop. It's going to be an expensive winter if they don't.

By Jackie on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 - 06:08 am:

The cheapest I saw around here was $1.99

By Trina~moderator on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 - 06:26 am:

The cheapest I've seen here is 2.19.

By Karen~moderator on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 - 07:38 am:

And here on the Gulf Coast, where we are *closer* to the actual drilling and production, we are paying $2.29 :-(

By Dawnk777 on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 - 07:40 am:

Karen, that stinks!

By Rayanne on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 - 08:14 am:

I payed $2.29 also Karen!!
It stinks...To fill up my tank, it cost me $45.00.

By Kernkate on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 - 10:29 am:

By Emily7 on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 - 11:36 am:

Last time I filled up, which was on the 19th, it was $2.28 a gal, the next day it went down to $2.18 a gal. Figures! LOL

By Shann on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 - 12:00 pm:

I paid 1.89 a few days ago and it may have gone done since haven't looked. I hope it keeps coming down.

By Cat on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 - 12:28 pm:

It's been $2.15 here for a while now.

By My3cuties on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 - 02:02 pm:

Im lovin' it!! 2.01 here and dropping. ahhh. It takes about $25(+/-) to fill up the van but we never let it get below 1/4 tank.

By Tink on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 - 02:54 pm:

We haven't come close to dropping below $2.00 yet. I think the lowest I've seen is $2.27/gal. I can't wait for CA to catch up with the rest of you.

By Dawnk777 on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 - 05:29 pm:

I saw $2.17 today! I should have waited a day to fill my tank! LOL!

By Imamommyx4 on Thursday, November 24, 2005 - 02:33 am:

Isn't it weird how $1.89 a gal looks good now?

By Debbie on Thursday, November 24, 2005 - 07:09 am:

I got gas yesterday and it was $2.09 here outside Chicago. Dh said that down in St. Louis it was $1.89 when he filled up last Friday.

By Reds9298 on Thursday, November 24, 2005 - 01:46 pm:

$2.08 here in Central Indiana. $1.98 with my Kroger Plus Card. Yippee!! :)

By Ginny~moderator on Thursday, November 24, 2005 - 10:03 pm:

$2.139 in my area is the best I've seen, but $1.88 in New Jersey today, where we went for Thanksgiving.

By Missbookworm on Thursday, November 24, 2005 - 11:24 pm:

Here in canada we're paying about 1.20 a litre! :(
Not that I drive but for my friends who do it's awful.

My boyfriend spends about $80 to fill up his if I remember right

By Marcia on Friday, November 25, 2005 - 09:14 am:

In my part of Canada the price is back down to about .85/litre. It was costing me close to $100 to fill my van when Katrina hit, but it's back down now. It's still at least $75 to fill it, which still really sucks!

By Melanie on Friday, November 25, 2005 - 11:32 am:

We are down to $2.43 and I am so happy. I can now fill my van for under $50. :)

By My3cuties on Friday, November 25, 2005 - 12:48 pm:

1.95 woohooo, keep on coming down! :)
