Bad Circulation? Maybe?

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion Archive: Archive November 2005: Bad Circulation? Maybe?
By Boxzgrl on Sunday, November 20, 2005 - 03:51 pm:

For the past 3-4 days my legs and arms will get tingly and "fall asleep" so easily. I wake up with one arm throbbing in pain (the one I usually rest my head on) and when I sit for longer than 15 minutes (like at my friends last night) my legs will start to fall asleep and get tingly. Is that just bad circulation? Is it a cause for concern? It's really bothering me because I don't know if it's anything to worry about. I've never had these problems before. And it's constant throughout the day.

I had a problem with this when I was pregnant, especially in my hands and arms. I don't fully understand it but it isn't a circulation problem as much as a nerve issue. It's similar to why some women have trouble with carpal tunnel syndrome while pregnant. I'd mention it to your OB when you visit but I don't think it's something to worry about.

I had restless legs with my pregnancies. I hated going to the movies or even riding in a car. I would check with your OB but I wouldn't worry too much.
What helped for me was cooling the soles of my feet. Try soaking them in cool water or even rub them down with a baby wipe.
