Does anyone have good ideas for christmas for a 13 yr old girl that is not too mature yet, she likes collecting pigs so I've gotten her some cute items in that area. She's asked for some bratz dolls, and I also got her a white noise machine, it has sounds of nature, a heartbeat noise, etc... Also a few books, a calendar. She is not really into music... Just wondering what ideas any of you have for your girls!!!

is she into crafts at all? Maybe a soap or beeswax candle making kit? The company called Klutz has some great gift ideas too.

good luck, I am having a heck of a time thinking of gifts for my soon to be 13 yr old son.

My 13yo dd loves to draw, so someone usually gets her some artsy thing, like a sketch pad, colored pencils, etc.

She also loves horses, so buying her riding lessons or a gift certificate to go towards horse camp are always good for her, too!

But these are just Emily! LOL! My 13yo would be totally bored with Bratz dolls, but give her a sketch pad and a pencil and she will be quiet for hours!

When my girls were 13, they were more into clothes and CD's and stuff like that.

How about a guinea pig?

My 13 yo *boy* (lol so this wont be much help! ) loves music. So cd player, MP3 player, CD's, etc... are always a big hit with him. He told me and my EX the other day that he wants us to only buy him CLOTHES this yr for Christmas and they need to be from Abercrombie or AMerican Eagle. *rolling my eyes* I told him I'd see what I could find on the clearance rack. ROFL He doesnt think I am very funny. :)

I have been thinking about redecorating his room (again) for Christmas- does this girl need a new stylish comforter set or a cool lava lamp or somthing? Beads to hang in her door way?

Journal, diary, scrapbooking kit?

Does she play any instruments? Maybe something along that line? New music or accessories to go with her instrument.

Does she like to get her nails done? My 12 yo niece had me take her to get her nails airbrushed last summer when she was visiting. She got blue paint with grey Dolphins and waves on her nails. Pretty cool! Maybe a gift certificate for something like that.

I know my 13 yo would LOVE to get tickets to ANY sports events or upcoming comcerts. I have thought about that for a stocking stuffer. He'd flip if he got to go see the Dallas Cowboys. One yr I will have to get tickets and take him to see a pro ball game. Not this yr tho.

Does she like things for her hair. Does she have her ears pierced? Does she like the hobo glittery purses? Does she need a watch? Pay as you go Cell phone?

Gift certificate to the mall, cash - thats a fave of my boys. lol

I am getting the boys a booklet from the movie theatre full of movie tickets for their stockings. We love movies!

Thats all I can think of right now... Have fun shopping! :)

My daughter loves crafts. Wal-mart has a great easy to do candle making and soap making machine that I bought for my dear daughter. Basically, they are just heating things that are made specifically for these things and aren't so messy.

I also got my dd things to decorate her room. A new sheet set, new comforter, things like that.

I got a couple of neat craft sets at wal-mart that you pour different colored tiny plastic pieces into charms and melt them in the oven and they look like stained glass. Also a bowl making set like this.

How about a microscope? Or a nice basket with bath stuff in it. They also have some great lip gloss kits in the Christmas gift aisles of Wal-mart. Or a squishy pillow?

I'm sure I have more ideas, but I have to leave right now. I'll let you know!

Hi everyone, so many good ideas!!!

Luvn29, what department did you get the candle making and soap making machine from? Toys or crafts.

Conni, she loves clothes, so that is a great idea, already has a guinea pig, a glitter lamp...

Dawn777, Art supplies are a good idea! It is so hard at this age to get stuff for them when their in that in between stages. I'll take anymore ideas you guys have!!!

Well, they had the candle and soap making machines in the toy aisle, in the same place they had things such as crystal growing kits, and a rock tumbler. They come ready to make, and you can buy refill kits. We also got our daughter the rock tumbler. It comes with enough to make once and then you can use any rocks you have. And you can make jewelry or keychains with the polished rocks.

In the craft section of wal-mart, they have all kinds of neat craft kits, too.

How about getting her a makeup case, and putting lip glosses, glitter gels, bath beads, hairbows, a pretty brush set, etc. in it?

Or some really pretty girly pajamas, either satin-y ones or really soft brushed flannel ones, a bathrobe, and slippers to match.

Our daughter has a karaoke machine and loves playing with it. Also those neat mats that you dance on...it flashes lights and that's where you move your feet...

Luvn29,

I was thinking of a karaoka machine, and one of those dance mats, also I know that those rock tumbler machines have been around for a long time so they must still be a fun thing for kids.

Thanks so much to everyone for putting some thought into some really great ideas for me!!!

All of it sounds wonderful!!

My kids both want Christmas music for their instruments. So, if she plays an instrument, that would be an idea. (flute and clarinet)
