His team won the contract to be in charge of the new 9/11 in NY. They will oversee the chemical/biological warfare defense for the new structure. Apparently there will be a HUGE plaza, museum, and memorial. (They'll still build a tower for some of the old tenants, but not like it was before.) I'm so happy for them!!

OOOhhh...other good news...his brother is coming home from Iraq in Dec/Jan sometime. YIPPEE!! :)

Congrats to your DH! Heidi, where in MD are you? DH lived in Silver Spring for a number of years. And what does your hubby do?? That sounds like an exciting responsibility!

We are just a 1/2 hour north of Baltimore! My DH is a government contractor and is involved in getting contracts for chem/bio defense for whatever the government needs. He also does commercial contracts too. His last proposal was for chem/bio protected tents for medivac units at war. Very cool stuff.

It's very neat to hear him talk about what happened at work...sometimes I try to get him intoxicated enough to tell me the top secret stuff but, alas, it never works. I gotta get the good tequila one day...LOL! :)

Heidi, my stepdad does government contract work with nuclear weapons and we always try to worm the good stuff out of him, too. He swears we're going to get him fired before he can retire! :)

Sounds like a great job to have, IMO! BTW, is it cold up there yet? LOL

Very cool, Heidi! :)

LOL, Cori and Karen! And, yes, it's getting cold here. But, only a fleece is needed so far. The Maryland winters get pretty cold and icy. I miss Colorado's 95% sunny days...but, today isn't too bad either!!
