I'm feeling like a one pot meal or a casserole. DH and I were talking about fried bread dough, and that sounds good, but we usually only have it with chili. I just can't think of anything that sounds good. Not to mention, I was up until 3:30 last night; I just couldn't get comfortable. So, I'm not up for making anything too difficult.:)

What's fried bread dough?

The last month is so tough! Hang in there (i know easier said then done). Have you had heartburn? Thats miserable.

Thanks! Ok, I needed a little inspiration today. My brain is sleepy. Now, if I could motivate to go to the store.:)

The way I grew up with fried bread dough is--my Mom would make a loaf of bread dough and let it rise and then cut it into little pieces, then she would spread it out by hand, sort of in a round flat 4 inch circle. Then, she would fry it in hot oil quickly and it will puff up a bit and get golden brown. We just eat it with butter. I usually just buy a loaf of frozen dough from the store and let it rise and then you can cut it--much easier.

Now, DH's Mom made it by just cooking it in a pan with just butter.

Chicken Pot Pie

Even my kids beg for me to make this one.

Large can of Veg-all
2 cans of shredded or chunked chicken breast, drained
1-2 can of cream of chicken soup, depending how creamy you want it.

Mix all together, place in casserole dish.

Mix two cups bisquick, 1 cup milk, and 2 eggs together. It will be a very runny mixture. Poor over top of the veggie mixture.

Place in preheated ove at 400 and bake uncovered about 30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

So easy, so good, and everyone loves it!

That fried bread dough sounds really good!!!
