Some of you know that dh is working out of town now.

Our neighbors have a Halloween tradition that they started a few years ago. We usually have set trick or treat hours each year and most of the dks go out early before dark. But, the Dads take the older boys (are neighborhood is almost all boys) back out after dark. There is a really scary street in our neighborhood that has a Haunted House and all the houses's are decorated scary. They go trick or treating down that street. My neighbors made sure that my oldest ds was included. This is the first year that he was old enough and they know dh is gone, so they made sure to take him with them. Ds was so excited and had a great time. My neighbors are just awesome

That was really nice! I have great neighbors also. We really take care of each other and like to get together often. My husband has been gone also and I rarely have to cook on weekends anymore! We are always invited for dinner and the men in the neighborhood look after the "guy" jobs that can't be put off until my husband gets home.
