Natalie is in bed...asleep, we think?
She was acting strange tonight...not her usual self. Just mellow and wanted snuggle a lot. She was also chewing on everything, but not whiney at all. She has no other teeth but the four in the front, but seems to be teething all the time so we're just waiting them out. Felt a tad warm, nothing major. Gave her some ibuprofen before bed at 8pm.

Starting about 45minutes ago and still hasn't stopped, she is talking and jabbering and humming sounds. I finally went in to check on her. Eyes were open, but didn't seem to really know I was there. Like her eyes were open but she's not awake. I can't believe how long this has gone on. I'm a little worried. We rub her forehead and tummy, she just sucks her paci oddly (smacking sounds), eyes kind of open and then shut for a bit, she even smiled once but I don't think she was registering that we were in there. She did not feel hot to the touch. I feel uneasy about it. It's just strange. Her body seems very relaxed, laying on her back, not her normal way of sleeping.
????????? Experiences, thoughts???
I just keep remembering my parents telling me that I go thigh fevers as a child and did weird things. She doesn't seem upset at all though and hasn't cried once.

It seems that she has FINALLY stopped and is quiet now. I hope she doesn't start up later in the night. Would still like to hear any thoughts you might have though....

Maybe you could pick her up if she does it again, to see if the change in position stops her or wakes her up a bit?

How is your daughter today? I would be a little concerned if she is still acting that way. Maybe a trip to the doctor wouldn't be so bad if she is still like that. Let us know

Thanks! She woke this morning with a fever...her first one :( It was 101.6. Somehow we've made it this far with only a degree during teething times. She seems to be feeling better after a little Tylenol.
Lastnight was a little weird. She started up again around 2am but it didn't last long that time.
My baby's never had a real fever before and I don't like it! :(

Is she having any seizure like symptoms?

By Kate on Saturday, October 29, 2005 - 10:46 am:

Has she had any recent vaccinations? If so, I'd get her to the doctors quickly and make some noise about that.

I'd call the dr. That seems a little weird.

By Reds9298 on Saturday, October 29, 2005 - 11:23 am:

No vaccines recently, no seizure-like symptoms at all.
Maybe it was just the fever???

By Vicki on Saturday, October 29, 2005 - 11:38 am:

At the minimum I would call the doctors office and tell them what happened. That fever seems low enough that it shouldn't have caused those types of symptoms.
