Netflix

I was just wondering if any other netflix users are seeing a longer turnaround time on dvds? I used to be able to send them back on Monday and have new movies by Wednesday. I mailed 3 back on Monday and I am still waiting for them to notify me they are shipping new ones. I am wondering if blockbuster would be faster.

I am recently, but I assumed it was because of our general mail delivery being affected by hurricane Katrina. I had begun getting all of my mail in a timely manner, and I checked my queue last night, and there are 3 movies they mailed out to me that I have not received, one as long ago as October 12, the other 2 were mailed one week ago. I notified them.

It may also be that movies being returned by people in this general area are taking longer to be delivered back to Netflix.

Before Katrina, I had a great turnaround time with Netflix - I'd mail the movie in the AM, and the following afternoon they would ship another to me.

Hopefully this is just temporary. I've considered changing to Blockbuster but they don't offer some of the titles Netflix does that *I* want to see.

Maybe that's it. I'll just keep an eye on it and see if it improves soon. Maybe the netflix centers across the country are taking the overflow from areas affected from the hurricanes. They used to be great, so I won't dump them yet.

I'm a member of Blockbuster, not Netflix, but I too am seeing longer turnarounds. I also chalked it up to the hurricane(s).

YES, I am seeing VERY long turnarounds!! I don't see how the hurricanes affect people in other areas....I have my own distribution center right here in town and I am in NY, nowhere near the hurricanes. If my previous movies were coming from the south, I never ever would have received them the very next day as I always used to. They were obviously coming from right here in town.

On Saturday we emailed them saying one disc arrived cracked and they immediately emailed back saying they would send a new one. So YESTERDAY, Wednesday, they said it would arrive FRIDAY. I told them Saturday!! At the very latest it should have gone out Monday! Arrrggghhhhh!!!

Can I ask what this is about? lol

Other than slow mail delivery...mailing dvd's back and forth? hmmmmmmm

Instead of going to the video store to get dvds, they are getting them in the mail.

Netflix

My local Blockbuster is less than a mile away, so I think we will just keep going there!

Hurricanes as well as the approaching holiday season I suppose.

Oh and i've had Netflix and Blockbuster. I was hardly impressed with Blockbuster, they had very slow shipping and a not so user friendly site. I just thought Netflix was better to navigate through.
