I am thinking of getting the boys one of those Power Wheel battery operated vehicles. Does anyone have any advice on which one? I want one that both can fit it. A lot of people are telling me its not worth the money. What do you think?

We never bought one for our kids because we figured they were an accident waiting to happen. Guess we've seen too many Funniest Home Videos! LOL!

Dd had one and LOVED it. She had the Barbie Jeep and I thought for sure she would wear out the tires on it! LOL The one she had had two settings, one was slow and the other was slower. LOL She got it for her third birthday and used it until she was about 8ish. So she got 5 years out of it. Well worth the money to us. I have no idea what is out on the market now, but really check out the weight limits and get the highest you can. That will get many more years of use out of it for you!

My ds's had a Gator. It sat 2 people and had a back that dumped stuff. They loved it. My parents bought it for my oldest ds when he was 3. My youngest has just decided to give it up at age 5. It had 2 speeds and went pretty fast. You could also lock it in the slower speed, which is what we did when they were younger. It was a big hit in our neighborhood and the kids actually fought over who was going to ride in it. Dh would also have my ds's haul stuff in it to the backyard when he was working outside. LOL. We definitley got our money's worth. We just gave it away last month to some friends of ours who have two little boys. So, it is 5 yrs. old and still going.

We never got one, because our first house was in a neighborhood without sidewalks and then when we moved here, we rented in a hilly neighborhood, so they never really had a safe place to ride it. Now, we live in a flat neighborhood with sidewalks, but now they are too old!

Well that was another thing I was concerned with was that there are no sidewalks and they would just have our yard to ride in. Our yard is flat and pretty big though. Thanks for yalls input.

These things are SOOOO worth the money! Our children have had several and love them. Some are better than others as far as going up and down hills, but they all work pretty good on flat yards. Our children have the battery operated four wheelers and just love them!!! Our daughter(9) is almost outgrowing it. But she's a very small 9 year old, and our 6 year old son still rides his all over the place.

I would have loved to have gotten the gator for ours. It is supposed to be great! They also have a hummer that seats two, and a really neat monster truck that my son is just crazy over, but he is too old to buy a new one for now.

I'd splurge on this one, your kids will love you for it!

We have a good friend who has a son and they have the John Deere tractor--the one with the back that you can "haul" stuff around. Two can sit in it. It's very cool and the kids all love it! They have a big backyard and even drive it around the driveway. He's had it for 2 years now and it's been a constant hit! I think it would be a great choice.:)

The girls had the Barbie Jeep. The only complaint I had was keeping the batteries charged.. The girls have out grown it so I gave it to my niece and she loves it too. Neither of us had sidewalks but we both have very big yards and it ran just fine in the yards.
