Pixter vs. Leapster ... which would you buy??
By Livvy on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 - 03:30 pm: | Starting to Christmas shop and hit my first snag. DD, who is 7 years old, was playing with a Pixter (the newest model, Multi-media) at Walmart and was having fun. I went to Toys R Us today to investigate them and the sales girl showed me the Leapster also. Now I am even more confused about which I should get her for Christmas. Does anyone have any experience with either and may be able to help me decide?? TIA!!
By Kaye on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 - 03:34 pm: | We have a pixter, it is okay, but didn't get played with that much. My son is almost 8 now and he doesn't use it at all. It is the old type, black and white. We really did love our leappad for awhile, so I would be inclined to check out the leapsters!
By Debbie on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 - 04:58 pm: | My ds has a pixter, but not the newest model. He NEVER plays with it. I have a friend who's dks have the Leapster. They love it. She says that they play with it all the time. So, based on that, I would say go with the Leapster.
