Freezing shortbread cookies

I have a tray of cookies that were left over from an event last we attended night and I would like to freeze them and serve them at a party we are having in 2 weeks. Is this ok to do? They are store bought cookies with some icing and sprinkles on top. Can I just put them in a ziploc bag and store them in the freezer?

Sarah, I think they would be fine to freeze that way. I freeze my homemade cookies. I usually wrap mine in layers with wax papers and then in a ziplock back. This way when they are defrosting the frosting doesn't stick all together.

I would lay them on a cookie sheet to flash freeze them first then put them into a bag.
