It has been raining here since Friday night, today its pouring! Its just so gloomy when its like this and I have no ambition to do anything but lounge around. I just made sausage and peppers for dinner and and did 3 loads of laundry, thats the extent of my day:(
I am off to bartend tonight so maybe that will give me some pep!
Just a vent on this blah day.

Ugh! We need that rain! The town next to us, where I go to college, has only enough water in their reservoir left until Monday. And this is only because of strict restrictions. The college has shut off all of their water and brought in portable toilets to use and gel hand sanitizer.

The prison there has cut back to letting the prisoners take only three showers a week, and only flush their toilets 4 times a day. So now, of course, we have Human Rights Activists stepping in and saying this is inhumane and they have a right to flush the toilet as many times as they want and take a shower everyday. Ummmm, yeah. Then don't we college students have a right to use a flushable toilet too? No one is saying anything about that. Every intelligent person knows these are necessary steps.

Sorry for rambling on, I just get so ticked off at these people sometimes!!!

We'll take your rain, but then, I'd just be complaining cause I hate those rainy dreary days, too!

I know, we are going through the same thing. It's driving me nuts AND we just planted a new lawn last week and I am sure the seed has rotted by now. We have more coming every day through the weekend.

at least it's not snow....yet.

Colette, How true about the snow. Its still raining here today!
Adena, You could really could use some of this rain. You guys down there are really in drought if the colleges and prisons are taking those measures.

We now have another storm coming this weekend! It's supposed to give us more rain than last weekend. New Hampshire has declared a state of emergency from the last storm. But I'd still rather have rain than snow.

It's been raining here all week! It's a little dreary. The worst is our grass is going to be SO long and DH will be out of town all next week and I won't be mowing.

Colette-My Aunt just bought a farm house in NH to fix up and I guess it was totally washed away. What's more sad, is the families that were just washed away with their homes. I guess they found a couple that was living together, just floating side by side. Very sad--it makes you realize how little control we have when it comes to Mother Nature.

I am sorry about your aunt. I have a friend who works for the Red Cross and she's working at a shelter in Alstead, she said it's unbelievable up there.

I was reading about the flooding just yesterday. Looks a lot like New Orleans a month ago. Very sad indeed.

By Kernkate on Friday, October 14, 2005 - 11:27 am:

And it still raining today:(
Eve Sorry to hear about your Aunts home.
I guess the Northeast is all getting rain. Suppose to stop tomorrow night here. I hope!

Finally! After 10 days of rain and wind we finally have the sun (and wind) today. I am so excited I don't know what to do first!

Runnnnnn get outside lol....Rain is such a common occurence here. It sucks sometimes. I think it's something like 200 days a year (in the winter) and we rarely get snow.

I really can't complain I suppose we have long warm beautiful summers :) and lovely falls too.

Yesterday was lovely and sunny today we're back to rain *sighs*
