It's beginning to look a lot like...

Christmas!!! There's about 4-6" of the white stuff out there and it's still coming down. I had one daycare family cancel on me this morning because they couldn't get down their street. She said she'd call later if they plow (don't count on it). So it's just one little guy this morning. Actually, it's the little guy that started at Kindercare back in April, but they're closed today for Columbus day so mom scheduled with me. We're happy to see him, though. He's the third child I never had. :) I did have to cancel Robin's therapist appointment for this morning because I'd really rather him not travel if he doesn't have to (dh was going to take him). So we're supposed to get 4-6" more today. A little funny--fall break for Randy started Friday and I got an email this morning saying school was canceled today. Go figure.

I am so jealous! I was telling my DH this morning we need to move to Colorado. My boys have never seen snow, maybe we will get some this year.

By Kernkate on Monday, October 10, 2005 - 10:30 am:

Not jealous at all! LOL:) I do not look forward to winter in NE PA. I know sooner or later it will arrive but later then sooner will be better:)

I havent seen snow in a number of years, sigh, every once in a great while we will get snow but it has been a great while :)

I'm with Kathy. If it snowed December 24th and all melted January 1st,I'd be one happy lady! :) Not going to happen here in NE Ohio, but l can dream!

My daughter tries to make snow angles on our lawn. I told my Dh we need to take her to the snow this winter so she can make the real thing!

Enjoy! I lived in snow country for ten years. I miss it.

I would be happy if it snowed at 11pm on Christmas Eve and melted Christmas night at midnight lol = ) see what a party pooper i am..The snow usually i don't mind really but the cold can go away as long as the snow stays off of the roads i'm cool lol = )

I don't mind the snow--if I have no where to go. I really don't mind canceling Robin's appointment today, but he probably would have benefited from it (had a rough night last night). I'm not one to go out and play in it--never really have been (well, not since I was about 6yo anyway! lol). I don't mind shoveling it, but here you can shovel and then an hour later the wind has blown it all right back where you just shoveled! It's a slushy mess out there right now. I seriously doubt we'll have karate tonight. That's a bummer, but oh well. Robin's shoveling the deck. He wants to earn extra money. :)

We are getting tons of rain and I really hope this weather pattern changes before it gets much colder!

Although, the first few snow storms are always exciting. I don't mind snow November (which never happens around here) through January, but after that I am thinking spring and want it gone.

By Breann on Monday, October 10, 2005 - 09:18 pm:

I'm jealous too! I love Christmas and snow!

By Kateg on Monday, October 10, 2005 - 10:21 pm:

I miss snow. We had one snow last year & we had a white Christmas. Can't complain with that one, but hoping for some snow this year here.

By Marcia on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 - 12:01 am:

I wouldn't mind snow if it only last from Nov - Jan, but the reality is that it lasts from Oct-April!! It also often comes with -40 temps! It's not actually the snow I hate, but the bitter cold!

By Eve on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 - 08:12 am:

I saw the snow in Colorado on the news! Wow, it was coming down! It was beautiful. I'm looking forward to snow--especially for Christmas.:)

Colette-they are saying this Winter is going to be a bad one, with lots of snow. I don't mind the snow, it's the freezing rain I don't like.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!:)

(Although, I still have to order DD a new coat! LOL)

We ended up getting about 12". The town just NE of us got 23"!!! I'm talking just about 5-7 miles away. Then 5-10 miles south only got a couple inches. It's amazing how different it can be so close. We did end up having karate and there were only 6 of us there, including the instructors!!! It was a great class! lol Dh drove my car to work this morning (Durango vs Eclipse). We don't have anywhere to go anyway. We'll see if my daycare kiddos show up today. They're closer to that 23" than our 12". :) It's supposed to be back in the 60's-70's by Saturday.

OOOOOOHHHHHHHH!!! Post some pics. PLEASE!!

We are still wearing tank tops down here!

By Cat on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 - 09:56 am:

Oh, Karen. We didn't take pictures! lol We'll have lots of oppertunities for that! Okay, I'll get some today. :)

Dh called from work a little while ago. His office is about 8 miles south of here. He said there was hardly ANY snow on the ground there. Go figure. :)
