I'm sure many of you watched the Oprah show on 10/5/05 about Sexual Predators. One of the many messages from that show was that unless and
until we, the people, take a stand and make tougher sentencing laws for child molesters, they will continue to strike- again and again.

I wrote to those sponsoring tougher state legislation for Sexual Predators and asked what I could do to support it. The answer was to write to my state representatives and
let them know that I am in support of this legislation. So, that is what I'm going to do... and I've listed below how you can do it as well.

Please feel free to pass this along to any friends/family that may be willing to take 5 minutes of their time to swing some emails out to their reps. With the info below, it will really only take a few minutes and I do believe that if we all do it it will make a difference.

First, look up who your reps are with this easy zip code search:

Click on your rep's names in the State Senate and House and locate their email address.

Send them a quick note with your name and address (so they know you are really in their district) and let them know you support tougher
sentencing laws for sexual predators. Here is a sample if you are really pressed for time:

Dear Representative XXX:

I am writing to let you know that as one of your constituents, I support legislation that would create tougher laws for sex offenders and sexual
predators in (your state). Please keep me in mind when you vote on such legislation in the 2006 legislative session.
