Dine Out America

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion Archive: Archive October 2005: Dine Out America

Hope it's okay to post this here..if not feel free to delete it. I am using this as a reason not to cook dinner tonight! :)

On October 5, 2005, Darden Restaurants will be a leader in "Dine for America," a national fundraising effort to support the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund and help those who were affected by Hurricane Katrina. All Olive Garden restaurants across North America will donate 100% of profits on October 5th.

We're proud to be part of the relief efforts and encourage you to enjoy a wonderful Italian dinner with family and friends, while helping make a difference in the lives of those in need. We look forward to seeing you October 5th.

Andi, thanks for posting this. It is OK to post this kind of thing unless you or a family member / close friend is going to make a profit out of it.

I did a search for Dine For america b/c I don't have an Olive Garden nearby. here's a website http://www.dineforamerica.org/ There are many companies participating.

Guess who's having Outback to go tonight?

We went to Cousin's Subs tonight and they were donating 10% of the day's sales to the Katrina fund! I see Cousins is being cheap, compared to Olive Garden, but the nearest Olive Garden would be about an hour away! (Sheboygan doesn't HAVE an Olive Garden!)

Went and it was YUMMY! There was a huge crowd and it was a great reason to go out to eat. :)

I had no idea Outback was part of it...that is one of our favorite places to eat.

We don't have Outback, either! Guess 51,000 people just isn't big enough. We have a Chili's, but it's not big enough. At peak times, you can wait 45 minutes for a table. We try to go at off-peak times!
